I'm a California native currently living in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Before I became a professional photographer, I served in the Marine Corps for 20 years where I met my husband. We have four grown children, three boys and one girl. We also have three dogs, two Miniature Schnauzers and a Yorkshire Terrier.
My professional photography career began in 2005 when I volunteered to do headshots for a local theater group. I subsequently joined the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) in order to expand my knowledge. Through PPA, I became a Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) in 2010. I believe in constantly striving to perfect my craft and regularly attend industry conventions and seminars. I have an Associates Degree in Computer Science from Hawaii Pacific University and a Bachelors Degree in Studio Art from the University of Mary Washington.
I am a member of the Professional Photographers of America, Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Woman Marines Association.
The studio name comes from my Yorkie Bella, and from Belleau Wood, the location outside Paris where the Marines earned the name "Teufel Hunden" or "Devil Dogs" during World War I.
